Generic model for ICT integration

In Research on January 7, 2009 at 9:35 am

Qiyun Wang wrote an article in Innovations in Education and Teaching International (Vol.45, No 4, November 2008, 411-419) on a generic model for ICT integration. The model consists of 3 key elements: pedagogy, social interaction and technology. In the paper he explains that constructivist learning theories, the design of interactivity and the notion of usefulness provide the theoritical foundations for the construction of this model. His research results in comparing specific ICT tools in a learning context. For example, he compares blogs and discussion forums according to pedagogical, social and technological affordances. Really interesting!
So, the generic model is applicable in many phases of an instructional planning process.
